EVGA is launching a GTX 970 Hybrid GPU

EVGA has received plenty of positive reception for its Hybrid series of graphics cards, which currently include the GTX 980, GTX 980Ti and Titan X. Now, the company is adding another GPU to the closed-loop cooled line-up, Nvidia’s popular GTX 970.
As with the other Hybrid graphics cards, the GTX 970 Hybrid will be cooled by an all-in-one liquid cooler, with a blower style fan to cool the VRM chips and a 120mm radiator, which will need to be mounted somewhere in your case.
The benefits of using a closed loop water cooler, rather than a reference design cooler are usually pretty significant. The card will run cooler and quieter for a start, but this also opens the door for more thermal headroom for overclocking and GPU Boost will be capable of staying active for longer.
The EVGA GTX 970 Hybrid will come with a base core clock of 1140MHz and a boost clock of 1279MHz, so it is a pretty fast card out of the box, without any additional tinkering. Right now, we don’t have a final price or release date but if you are in the market for a GTX 970, this may be worth keeping an eye out for.
